What kind of cat do the Japanese see as traditionally "good luck"?
I used to have grandmother who loved Japanese Good Luck Cats (17 healthy and fun all got along well together) but 8 seems to be an ordinary tabby cat, the rest was black and white cat patch, if not in form of chat, they could pass for cows B & W. When she died, every cat is died in the year, so we suspect because they missed his presence. It was quite a sight to see walking her cats, which it was they all watched it and never lost exploring.
Japanese call "Mike" (three types and hair colors). Some even call it the Japanese cat. I am happy to know that you were really awesome creatures in your m house.ie "keep and it was my best friend for almost 4 years.Just your garndmother like cats, mine is huge and too smart for a cat. She does not go out and follows me everywhere. While cats in folklore have the rather negative image (shape shifters, demons, man-eaters), in folklore that comes from sanctuaries Budhist, the cat is loved and considered lucky. The cat appears at the end of religious books in the Middle Ages as a guardian against courageous mice who Shrines devastated "rice Resourses Limited. Later, there Neko) is also linked to a sanctuary. As explained by Patricia Dale-Green in "The Cult of the Cat "(Houghton Mifflin, Boston, 1963), the Beckoning Cat is associated with an ancient cat sanctuary on the grounds of a temple known as Gotoku-ji near Tokyo. She writes: This temple was originally a very poor, no more than a thatched hut run by the poverty-stricken and half-starved monks. The master-priest had a cat which he was fond, he shared the little food he had. One day the cat squatted by road and, when a half-dozen samurai appeared on splendid horses, he looked up at them and raised one of his legs to his ear as if it was their beckoning. The noble cavaliers pulled up and as the cat continued to beckon, they followed in the temple. Torrential rains have forced to stay for a while, the priest gave them tea and expounded Buddhist doctrine. After this one of the Samurai – Lord Li – regularly visited the old priest to receive religious instruction from him. Finally Li provided the temple with a large area and it became the property of his family. Beckoning because the cat had attracted a wealthy patron to the poor temple, images of this cat soon became emblematic emblems and were particularly favored by traders.
