Greeks where the first to integrate the mathematical accuracy in a way that it looked that way instead of being correct. Parthenon a mathematical miracle, but only at optics. An individual was important in the culture Greek. It was the first culture to create an environment where "any" person could be king, so to speak. Of course, as now, this is not like you need a certain amount of money to be truly free. And in those days you needed to be a true citizen to qualify well.
