How can you imagine what the Chinese symbols that is on the bottom of a figurine in general?
It is very flowery and heavy, but we do not know what this means, a bottom.
If the figure is too big and heavy to move easily, it would be helpful if you could get a couple of good, clear, well lit and well-focused photos of the characters. You can take pictures at your favorite restaurant or Chinese grocery and ask someone there if they can help. If registration has been engraved or pressed into the surface of the base of the figurine, you could also make possible rubbing it with paper and pencil. You can also post photos on the sister site Yahoo Flickr, and send qualified them to see if they could decipher the characters. If you know some Chinese and have access to a couple of good Chinese / English dictionaries you can go through the tedious process of counting the strokes in the characters, and identify radicals of the characters were, and to look in dictionaries in this way. This process will not tell you exactly what the inscription says, but you help what are the characters used. Due to the nature of written Chinese you can know all the characters, but not yet know that the overall meaning is exactly. Therefore it would be better to seek the assistance of a native speaker or someone who is well educated in the subject. Even then, the person may not recognize certain characters if they were written using an archaic form, or are just simply words that are unfamiliar to them. Another thing to watch is that there is more than one Chinese language or dialect. A well educated native speakers should be able to read the sign for you and tell you what that means, even if they do not speak the same dialect. The only problem, others might be if the registration were not actually chinese at all. Other Asian languages, such as Japanese, also use Chinese characters in writing systems, with their own unique characters.
